Plano’s 150th Birthday Party

It’s a milestone year in Plano! Come out to Haggard Park (901 E. 15th St) on June 3rd and help us celebrate 150 years of the City of Excellence at Plano’s 150th Birthday Celebration! We are throwing a big birthday party from 4-8pm with all the necessities needed to celebrate such an important year!
Sweets and treats, including free cupcakes from H-E-B (while supplies last)
Birthday gifts for everyone (while supplies last)
Balloons, balloons, and more balloons
Birthday card station with help from our friends at the Plano West Rotary
The Plano Life and Fire Safety (LAFS) clowns and characters
A free kids zone with inflatables and carnival games
Balloon artist, caricaturist, stilt walking jugglers and face painters
Photo opportunities throughout the park
Live music from Plano Symphony Orchestra and Plano Community Band
Beer, wine and seltzers from The Fillmore Pub
Line dancing and a DJ
And don’t forget the Big D Kettle Corn
Come on out and visit with city departments like Plano 911, Communications and Community Outreach, Plano Emergency Management, Plano Arts & Events, Plano Fire-Rescue and Plano Texas Police Department, the Plano Public Library, Neighborhood Services, Plano Parks & Recreation, SEED, Visit Plano, and the Planning Department.
You don’t turn 150 years old without having plenty of stories to tell! Learn more about Plano’s past from Plano’s Heritage Commission, The Texas Pool, Plano African American Museum, Plano Masonic Lodge No. 768, The Heritage Farmstead Museum, and Plano IOOF Lodge #114. Plano Conservancy at the Interurban Railway Museum will be open, so stop on by while you’re in the park!
